This may come as a shock to you, but that 110-yard field goal that Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham made last week? Turns out, it was fake.
The video was done by the marketing department at WUSA-9, and was made to promote the Redskins' preseason games, which are shown on WUSA's air. "I think it was meant in the spirit of summer fun," said WUSA sports director Brett Haber, whose division had nothing to do with the spot.
Oh, those tricksters!
According to WUSA, about 30% of the e-mail they received came from people who believed the FG to be legit. ...
