Two Seed Or Not Two Seed, That Is The Question

In the Coaches Poll, the SU Men's Lacrosse team were #1 most of the season but recently slipped to #2 behind Duke. According to the Media, they're #2, barely, again behind Duke. In both cases, they're ahead of Virginia. So why then is it possible that the Orange may be looking at a #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament? John Jiloty at the NY Times explains...Another option for the No. 2 seed is VirginiaNo. 4 UNC draws Navy in first round

North Carolina, with a 8 and 5 record, got a fourth seed for the upcoming NCAA Lacrosse Tournament and will play Navy, with a 9 and 5 record. Is NCAA Lacrosse Ready To Grow Up Yet?

And you thought the committee that determines the NCAA Basketball Tournament was bad? Imagine a #1 seed had to play a #8 seed in the 2nd round of the basketball tournament in the home city of the #8 seed? Wouldn't they throw an epileptic fit and the rules would be changed quicker than Dick Vitale could put Duke and North Carolina in his preseason Top 5 for next year?UNC loses to Navy in NCAA Tourney

I think that if I had been asked to sum up the game between #9 North Carolina (8-6) and visiting #14 Navy (10-5) in the ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament, I would have to use the old proverb that says "mistakes cost dearly".Prepare For Glory

Courtesy of NCAA on Demand, I can think of no better way to get ready for the current men's lacrosse team's march to a National Title than to enjoy these highlights of the previous three. The 13-7 win over Princeton in 2000, 13-12 win over Princeton in 2002 and the exciting 14-13 win over Navy in 2004. I'd just show the videos here but embedding was disabled. Lexington, KY (Mar 13, 2008) - Yes, Neil Best of Newsday is scratching his head, not knowing that Ohio State has a lacrosse team . Well that makes two of us. Needless to say, while two time defending champion Le Moyne College (14-1) is busy getting ready to defend the NCAA Division II Lacrosse championship, the ESPN family of networks is ramping up to televise all of the Men's Division I ...Where’s “The U”?

In an area that prides itself as a lacrosse mecca, it was a little unfortunate to be a lacrosse enthusiast in the area last night-or player for that matter. The announcement of the men’s Division I NCAA tournament bracket took place last night at 9 p.m. on ESPNU, a channel that is not readily available in this area. It took some hunting for me to track down the matchups in a timely ...Women's Lacrosse In, But...

If the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse team wants to return to the Final Four, they'll have to live up to the lofty standard set by their marketing department. The Orange continue their quest to regain elite status when they take on the Golden Griffins of Canisuis (10-5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. They'll host the Buffalo-based school on Saturday at 7:30pm. If they win, there's a ...Men's Lacrosse In -- Looks Like They'll Play Host, Too

I have to give credit to Brent Axe, who called the possibility that this game could be an upset. I personally didn't think the Orange would be denied this season, but in the end Colgate was able to squeak by SU by the score of 12 to 11 in front of 4,500+ fans. With the loss the Orange fell to a 12 and 2 record, while Colgate improved to 11-5. Both teams should be in the NCAA post season and ...TRUE BLUE DEVIL
