sesiuna89 +1I am extremely disturbed by the fact that Tafoya and Kobler will not be returning to Monday Night Football. Let's be real. We all know that it is because of the sexism that exists within the sports industry. I am sure that there are plenty of males that are less "beneficial" to the MNF crew. Yet, they continue to have work. Has anyone thought about the fact that these women have to begin their careers over again due to a whimsical network decision? What about the fact that I'm sure the professional cheerleaders detract much more attention from the field? ESPN has plenty of money, and will continue to generate profits every year. This was not a sound financial decision. This was an attempt to push women even further out of the world of sports: a male dominated industry. If I were them, I would sue, and then not return to work even if begged to do so. What woman wants to be a part of such a sexist organization? They are blessed to be away from people who judge them based on their reproductive organs, as opposed to their level of skill and experience, yet still deserve justice and someone to stand up for them being so obviously discriminated against!

Report: Suzy Kolber, Michelle Tafoya Out at Monday Night Football
Published 2/10/2008 by Michael David Smith at FanHouse
Filed under: NFL Media Watch, Breaking News, The Word, ESPN Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that ESPN Monday Night Football sideline reporters Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya will not return to MNF in 2008. Kolber has been ESPN's NFL sideline reporter for several years, dating back to before ESPN had Monday Night Football. Tafoya was the Monday Night Football sideline reporter when the franchise was on ABC. It's not yet known whether Monday Night Football will find a new sideline reporter, or whether ...
Monday Night Football treats objects like women
Published 2/10/2008 by Richard McPlenty at SPORTSbyBROOKS
A media source has told PRO FOOTBALL TALK that Michele Tafoya and Suzy Kolber will no longer be part of the Monday Night Football crew. The reasons aren’t entirely clear, but it definitely strikes a little gender imbalance into the crew. No more boy-girl-boy-girl-boy pictures, at least for now. We can at least hope they work a little Erin Andrews into the mix, right? As for now, PFT takes a stab at the reasoning.“Both served as sideline reporters. Tafoya worked in the same role with ABC when the ESPN sister company last aired MNF. Kolber likewise reported from the field ...
Tafoya And Kolber Nixed From Monday Night Crew

... in the three or four hours before kickoff.Again this is just a rumor, but PFT is usually dead on after talking to it's sources. I didn't really care for either of them on the telecast but it's odd that they would get rid of both of them. Could this be a sign that they might be looking to bring EA on board? Who knows, but it wouldn't be the worst idea if they did. That photo above is beginning to look like the picture from Back to the Future isn't it? Tafoya, Kolber Out At MNF (Pro Football Talk)
Report: ESPN sidelines two

...
Michelle Tafoya and Suzy Kolber are out as sideline reporters on ESPN's "Monday Night Football," sources tell ProFootballTalk.com.
Tafoya had previously been a reporter with ABC when it had the "MNF" franchise, while Kolber has worked the sidelines for ESPN dating back to its Sunday night package.
As PFT notes in its report, the sideline reports at times were heavy
on preplanned content, and light on in-game information. It was unclear whether the two were being replaced or if this is simply a cost-cutting measure. ...
ESPN Dropping Sideline Reporters on Monday Night Football? Hopefully
Published 2/11/2008 by Larry Brown at Larry Brown Sports
I realize I’m doing myself a bit of a disservice hoping for such a fate, but I can’t help but speak in total honesty. Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk (via Ballhype) is saying that ESPN will be dropping sideline reports on Monday Night Football, a trend I would like to see proliferate. Sure, the job market narrows somewhat for someone like me, but honestly, what role do sideline reporters actually play? As in most assessments, the first question you must ask is what does the item/person in question bring to the table? Well, for sideline reporters, it’s the occasional injury update and interview of moderate significance. ...
Big names.

Michele Tafoya and Suzy Kolber : After two seasons roaming the sidelines for Monday Night Football , Tafoya and Kolber have been demoted . Their exact role has not been determined, and they may still appear on the air at some points. However, neither will be a major presence during MNF broadcasts. Chris Berman : With several videos popping up on YouTube of Berman making profanity-laced comments while on the Monday Night Football studio set in 2000, the longtime ESPN personality has attracted the ire of the desperate-for-attention Christian ...
