    When you say "islet" are you allowed to pronounce the "s"? Or is it like "island" and if you pronounce the "s" you are mocked for the rest of your days? Not that it happened to me or anything . . .

      Great question, Carolyn, love where your head is at...Apparently, the correct way to pronounce islet is Ahy-lit, as in Ahy lit a lot of things on fire as a small child.
