The Phillies were out-hit 13 to 7 by the Diamondbacks but they were able to make their hits count in a 5-4 win in Arizona. Pedro Feliz hit a two-run shot in the 7th inning and Chase Utley drove in the game winning run on a single in the 8th inning. There was a scary moment in tonight's game when Shane Victorino collided with D-backs first baseman Conor Jackson. Click the link to view ...Posted 5/8/2008 on Phillies Nation
Whoever said “ambush” in the Phillies’ dugout after Chase Utley plated Eric Bruntlett to give the good guys a 5-4 lead was right on — they pounced on the Diamondbacks in the eighth and held on tight for the big road win. Utley’s RBI single came after an RBI hit by Eric Bruntlett, who scored Shane Victorino. Vic had a nasty collision with Conor Jackson to reach base ...Posted 5/8/2008 on Bugs & Cranks

My favorite rule in baseball? The dropped third strike. Even if you completely swing and miss at a horrible pitch -- or maybe a good pitch -- there's still a chance for redemption. Hey ook: I struck out but I'm still on first base! (A.J. Pierzynski remembers this well .) But, as the above clip between Shane Victorino and Conor Jackson shows, sometimes the angle of a throw from the ...Posted 5/8/2008 on Philliesflow.com
Apparently that just wasn’t good enough for him. I sometimes find the elitism of professional athletes to be nearly unbearable. The Phils got a fantastic win last night with the help of key back-to-back hits from Bruntlett and Utley in the eighth and more great work from the pen. It’s safe to say that Snakes’ first baseman Conor Jackson will never forget his 26th birthday. ...Posted 5/8/2008 on FanIQ Blog
I was going to lead with Barry Zito returning to what he does best: starting and losing, but is that really news anymore? Plus, Zito fortunately isn't on my fantasy team. Conor Jackson is. In the 8th inning, Shane Victorino struck out swinging but the ball rolled behind the plate creating an awkward angle for CoJack to field the catch from Chris Snyder. That awkward ...Posted 5/8/2008 on Walkoff Walk
Here's some of while you were watching people pushing shopping carts. Phillies 5, Snakes 4: The Diamondbacks blew two separate leads and couldn't get back on top for a third. Chase Utley drove in the go ahead run in the eighth and my PPP pick Conor Jackson had two RBI. I'm not gloating though, as Jackson fell victim to the famous "Curse of CTC" and left the game after a nasty collision ...Posted 5/7/2008 on The Good Phight: Front Page Posts

It was all business when Eric Bruntlett batted against his good friend Chad Qualls. The Phillies trailed by a run and both had to wait out a lengthy delay following a collision at first base between Shane Victorino and Conor Jackson.tball275 posted 4/28/2008 from wegotaguythere.blogspot.com
