KLaw’s top 100 prospects
River Avenue Blues —
We touched on this a little bit last night, but Keith Law’s top 100 prospect list is officially posted over at the Worldwide Leader. Austin Jackson comes in at number 46, as he notes that Jackson’s athleticism hasn’t translated into baseball skills just yet. Jesus Montero and Andrew Brackman come in at numbers 83 and 95, respectively. Both have the standard complaints - Montero probably can’t catch, we have to see how Brackman comes back from TJ. Dellin Betances cracked Law’s list of ten prospects that narrowly missed the top 100. Prospects 1-25 are free, but the rest are stuck behind the iron ...

Keith Law posted his top 100 prospects on ESPN today. Although we can only see Nos. 1-25 for free (I know I'm not subscribing to Insider), River Ave. Blues posted the Yankees who made the list, so thanks to them. Austin Jackson (No. 46), Jesus Montero (No. 83) and Andrew Brackman (No. 95) were the Yankees named. Dellin Betances was one of the 10 prospects who narrowly missed the top 100. Orioles' catcher Matt Wieters came in at No. 1.

Keith Law just released a list of the Top 100 Prospects in baseball . There is a total of three Yankees on the list. They are Austin Jackson #46, Jesus Montero #83, & Andrew Brackman #95. Dellin Betances just missed the list.. His reasoning for not putting Dellin on the list: Dellin Betances, RHP, New York Yankees : Betances has a great frame and big fastball, but poor command and control and iffy secondary stuff hold him back. He’s all upside, but there’s a lot of development between where he is now and where he could be if it all clicks.———————————————————————————————————— Baseball-Intellect releases Yankees Prospects 6-15 on ...

Also posted for all to see are his top ten prospects by position. Additionally, he chatted about the list, too, with some humorous references to the New York Senate appointment situation.
For those of us who enjoy Law's style, the day was a great one. As an Insider subscriber, I am able to read all of the Top 100. I am sure many others will pan it because Law has taken an ...

... ceiling" but also not likely to be more than a No. 4.
81: Nick Hagadone -- would have been Top 40 except for TJ surgery
83: Jesus Montero -- "Catcher in name only" but a "very promising bat" that would work at first
90: Junichi Tazawa -- could be in bigs by year's end, but looks better as a reliever
94: Daniel Bard -- all stuff, no head
95: Andrew Brackman -- "Significant upside" if he can stay healthy and regain command after TJ
HM: Dellin Betances -- "All upside" with great stuff but needs a lot of development
