Ballhype Bracketfest: NBA Season's Best Posterizations Links1

We're trying to do something fun here at Ballhype during these summer times where NOTHING HAPPENS. So, now that 'brackets' are somehow the new black, we're going to jump on this bandwagon as well.

We're planning to do brackets for tons of things, so be sure come back often and see the latest.

HOW TO VOTE:
Once we have a new topic for the bracket we'll put up a matchup every M-W-F for you to vote on. Voting lasts until the next voting day (I'll put up an update saying when voting ends)

Out first theme: now that the NBA season has come and went without so much as a whimper, let's remember the more exciting moments of the 06-07 season: Posterizations. Here are the seeds for Best Posterizations

UPDATE: we've had two new write-ins so far, I think the rule would be: if you have a suggestion that's better than the seeds we have now, SPEAK UP in the comments before it's time for the battle and I'll update it, cool? Cool.

UPDATE II: 7/22/07 This match's voting ends, see next match up

1) BDiddy on AK47
2) Ronnie Price on Boozer
3) LeBron on Duncan at the beginning of the year Thanks to Seth for making me aware: Renaldo Balkman on Devin Harris
4) LeBron on Rasheed
5) Flip Murray on Kirk Hinrich
6) Tyrus Thomas on Tyson Chandler
7) Tyrus Thomas On Ilgauskas Monta Ellis on Barbosa
8) Trevor Ariza on Emeka Okafor

So today: 1 v 8, vote now!

Noob! OMG, I should be locked up for neglecting that!! I hope  to god GSoM will not send ninjas to get me..

Okay, I'm taking out a lame Ty Thomas on Big Z and putting Monta there (I know I know, should be higher, but I think his battle with Ronnie will be legendary)

Compare the broadcasters' excitement levels on this one:

The local Orlando guys got reasonably fired up:  "Ariza ... explodes to the basket and drops the hammer!  (Wow.  Wow.)"

... but Tirico (with Hubie) on ESPN was beside himself on the Baron dunk:  "OOOOHHHH MAANN!  (Hello!)  Woot!  Woot!"

This one is no contest. Trevor Ariza was nice, but he's 6'9" with wings dunking on 6'10" - Baron Davis is 6'3" dunking over 6'9" with wings.

Ariza poses a little and pops his uni. Baron? He shows the world his lil' belly and then struts around like he just shut down the arena. "Goodnight, Love Baron"

Baron should get byes until the Finals. (Then, of course, Ronnie Price should beat him.)
