... Two rookie cornerbacks were part of defenses that got strafed but showed some signs that they may help forestall further routs. Eric Wright made six tackles for the Browns and Darrelle Revis contributed seven of the few stops that the Jets D came up with on Sunday. Reggie Nelson, another defensive back, played well in a loss as well. He had seven tackles and forced a fumble. Houston DT Amobi Okoye didn't play a huge role in their opening day win but he did become the youngest player in the 40 years since the start of the common AFL-NFL draft at 20 years and 91 days old. Another Texan, Jacoby Jones, had two catches for 33 yards while Dwayne Bowe of the Chiefs grabbed three balls for 42 yards in the losing effort. The Colts got a strong effort from starting left tackle Tony Ugoh in his first game as the replacement for Tarik Glenn who retired during the offseason. ...
