It appears there may have been some college football games on for the past couple days or whatever, but it looks like there might finally be some interesting ones soon! Getting excited!? Well, neither am I. In the only bowl game so far pitting ranked teams against each other, Texas finished off Arizona State 13 minutes into the Pacific Life Please-God-Let-Christmas-Be-Over-Soon Bowl as they ...Holiday Bowl Marred by Herbstreit and Musberger

I chose not to pay much attention to the Holiday Bowl matchup of Texas and Arizona State. After the season Texas had, I wasn't expecting any fireworks. But after a couple of episodes off The Office DVD, I flipped back to see the Longhorns comfortably ahead with four minutes remaining. Even this bumbling by the Texas sideline, courtesy of Chris Jessie, stepson of Longhorns coach Mack Brown, didn’t even come close to costing Texas the game — they were already up on Arizona State by a couple scores and wound up destroying the Sun Devils (deceptive score, really, 52-34). If you only get 22 yards rushing on a questionable Big 12 defense, you’re not going ...Texas wins the Holiday Bowl

I’m not sure what was more bizarre in the Holiday Bowl, the predictions I made (ASU was going to win and it wouldn’t be a big time scoring game) or what Mack Brown’s stepson did during the game. I have to say the stepson was more bizarre but still, my picks are really bad so far (3-6). What happened with Chris Jessie is pretty simple, on a fumble that was rolling out towards ...The Real Chris Jessie

The real story about last night’s Holiday Bowl wasn’t the easy win by Texas (although it sure brought any ASU sackriders down to earth.) It was the strange play that, for a short time, gave Arizona State tons of momentum. A member of Texas’ football operations staff, later identified as Chris Jessie, allegedly touched a ball squirming towards the Longhorns sidelines. The ...Texas Touching and Replay Review

As most everyone is aware by now, Texas assistant and Mack Brown stepson Chris Jessie appears to have touched a live fumble in last night's Holiday Bowl against Arizona State. The penalty resulted in a dead ball and a half-the-distance-to-the-goal penalty, allowing Arizona State to score and get back to 21-7. Watch the replay below. While it certainly appears likely that Jessie touched the ...Fumble! Everybody On It, Including Stepsons [Holiday Bowl]

By now, you've probably heard about Chris Jessie, Mack Brown's stepson who stupidly grabbed a loose fumble last night during Texas' thumping of Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl. It's pretty entertaining. Our favorite part of the incident is that Jessie, with a straight face, seemed to think that reporters should be talking more about the otherwise dull bowl game than his ridiculous ...On Those Frauds at Arizona State

We’re too angry with last night’s Holiday Bowl to care about it. So we’ll make this brief: Arizona State, a team we called a fraud all season long (you adamantly disagreed all season long) got worked by a mediocre Texas team for two reasons: 1) It could not protect its QB and 2) It could not run the football. You know how QBs always buy the offensive lineman nice presents ...Video: Strange scenes from the Holiday Bowl

If you thought your holiday dinners were tense, awkward affairs, consider the case of Chris Jesse, Mack Brown's stepson and member of the Texas support staff, who attempted to recover a Rudy Carpenter fumble last night during the Longhorns 52-34 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils...despite not being a football player.
