Throwing big money at Ramirez to create the best offensive show in baseball might signal a couple of things. It could mean that Hicks has lost his mind, given the unknowns that come with Manny. But it would definitely mean that Hicks will do what it takes to put fans back in his ballpark. If you can’t win a World Series now, how about setting some records and scaring the daylights out of opposing pitchers and being entertaining? Would that be so bad?
