This was crazy. I do not agre with the action, but the result might be very good.

If you have a hate filled response to something,.... keep it to yourself. Do not spread the hate. It looks real bad in print for all the world to see. :-)

He pulled it down because it's suddenly unpopular to love this country anymore.  What a shame.

Why should Cuban boot him off the team for having a controversial political opinion?  Howard made an inflammatory political comment in what should be inflammatory political times.  We're fighting two unpopular wars with no relief in sight, we're being crippled economically, our lame duck president's approval rating is up there with Himler and we're going into a presidential election where we'll either vote in a 70+ year old war veteran and his female, Alaskan VP running mate.  Or a young black man from Hawaii and his not quite as young running mate from Delaware.  These are heady times, and there needs to be some people saying unpopular things so this country will get it's head out of its ass and start thinking again.

Not only that, but if Mark Cuban had fired Howard, he would be railed against for being a hypocrite.  Nobody is more outspoken in the NBA than Cuban.  And if he had thrown Howard to the wolves, I guarantee you two things would have happened.

    A. The mongrels would have drank his blood and moved on in a week.
    B. Another team would have signed him at a discount and it would prove that all that did was hurt the Mavs roster.

I Hate People
Upside and Motor — ... Backing away from that just a little bit...some of the responses haven't been nearly as understanding, thought-provoking, or tolerant. The Public Responds To Josh Howard
The Basketball Jones — ... I don’t care what you’re doing, go read this post on Mark Cuban’s blog. Just as a warning, it gets pretty disgusting at times. Cuban has always done whatever he wants, but this is on a whole other level. By posting these revolting responses towards Josh Howard, he succeeds at taking the spotlight off J-Ho - turning it on himself and the American public. The ironic twist is Howard threw out a 10 second sound bite proclaiming defiance to his country and these comments totally spit at what the red, white and blue represents. The Mavericks owner obviously ...

Amphibious Sports Duo — ... may become dull and meaningless to Josh, but those men and women that served and died, they gave their lives so that young men like Josh could have a life where the Star Spangled Banner becomes pedestrian, rather than the long hours of hard labor. Based on the actions of other people in the video, Josh is not alone in his sentiment, just the only one opening his mouth to say as much, a problem he's had before. You can read Cuban's original post and all the hateful e-mails here. You can see the full length video of Howard's comments here.

Mark Cuban Published Letters From Fans About How To Deal With Josh Howard
FanIQ Blog — People got pretty upset with Josh Howard disrespecting the Star Spangled Banner. Understandably so. But as with everything else, there's a right way and a wrong way to voice that opinion. Some, like Stephen A. Smith, chose to do it the right way, in an intelligent, thoughtful article on Howard and his actions. Others, however, went about it all wrong. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban received a multitude hate-laced emails about Howard, many which contained racial slurs and downright offensive content. While I'm sure most people thought that Cuban wouldn't ...
