Man, I wish. I had to painstakingly pound through page after page in the "Transactions" feature of bb-ref.com to find these.

earthdyedred Wish you would have told me, Steve...
If you go here:
http://www.retrosheet.org/transactions/index.html
and download the complete transactions archive (tranDB.zip), you can put it into Excel and then AutoFilter only Rule V transactions over the years.
I thought I had sent that to you, actually...oh well.
These articles are more impressive now given the extra work taken to do them. Hardcore dedication, man.

stevet Oh, sure ... NOW you tell me!!!

earthdyedred My memory was bad on this...I thought you had asked me months ago to send you the list and that I did. Ah well. -
rob yontz Did Hendricks tag Carbo on that pivotal play at the plate in Game 1 of the 1970 WS? Wonder if Plummer is making any cake off his tenure with the Big Red Machine? Lord knows the Great Eight are. -
stevet No, actually Hendricks didn't tag Carbo; he reached out and touched him with his glove while holding the ball in his bare hand, in the other direction. It was a marvelous play in which the catcher missed the tag, the runner missed the plate, and the umpire (Ken Burkhart) missed the call; a strange set of circumstances that would be matched in that thrilling game-ending play in the one-game NL Wildcard playoff between the Rockies and Padres. -
SleepyCA Love these articles- thanks for taking the time to write them.
One minor quibble, but in order for the drafting team to send the guy down, it has to first pass him through irrevokable waivers. Every other team- not just the original team- has a shot at picking him up, for half the drafting price and with the rule 5 qualifications intact. If he makes it all the way to the original team, the rule 5 qualifications go away and they can treat him like any other minor leaguer.
After every team, including the original team, has passed on him, the drafting team can send him down.
