Fear the Beard goes blogger mock drafting.
Fear The Beard —
... And with the 14th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors select forward Donté Greene from Syracuse. This was our choice in the NBA blogger mock draft being conducted by the fine folks over at What Would Oakley Do? They got bloggers representing each team in the NBA to draft according to their team’s presumed interest. Full results can be seen over there sometime soon. Theirs is a New York Knickerbockers-centric organization, so stop by with some sympathy. Now that we got our guy, and we all actually really do hope this is who we get, I can confess another secret. ...

Lee played some point at WKU before Tyrone Brazelton came to Bowling Green, so he’s got a well-rounded game and good size for the shooting guard position. He has the same agent as the Sacramento’s Kevin Martin. Expect Lee’s career to take off like Martin’s did.” Make sure to visit “What Would Oakley Do?” to see what happens when today’s GMs are replaced by bleacher bums like you and me - and if Danny Ferry was replaced by yours truly. 2008 NBA Blogger Mock Draft
Phoenix Suns Community Blog - Fanster.com - Do you bleed deep purple? —
Chirs from the What Would Oakley Do? blog (a nice Sports and NY Knicks blog) had a great idea: Put together a bunch of NBA bloggers and invite them to hold a 2008 mock draft. Chris was also so kind to invite me to represent the Suns. The result was a great post, a much better mock draft than the usual mainstream stuff. In case you're intersted, the Phoenix Suns picked PG Mario Chalmers from Kansas with the 15th pick. The Pick: Mario Chalmers, out of the University of Kansas The ...

... soon to be NBA players. I love the draft so much, I love the second round more than the first. I love the draft so much, I may get busted for "inappropriate" use of library internet. That was a masturbation joke. I could have structured it in a funnier way, but I have to get down to my bar stool and get this started. You get the point. This is my Christmas. Also, check out DeceptivelyQuick's little stain over at the otherwise excellent What Would Oakley Do? Peace!

... Player to Watch: Remember when I argued for the C's to draft Ante Tomic (scroll down) so that I could call him the Croatian Sensation. Well given that he went 14 spots lower and is not on the Croatian national team tells you once again how excellent my analysis is. Meanwhile, for once I'm going to ignore my "look for ...
