A good week in the ACC pickings —
The 5th Corner
This was the weekend that had me the most worried since I began this picking. Looking at the fact that I am just 16 and 13 (.551 winning percentage) that could scare anyone. With the ACC finishing up early today (no night games) I just checked the results to my picks and I have to say I am ...
ACC Games Predictions (Week 9) —
The 5th Corner
After doing this for a while I look at my record, 16 wins and 13 losses, and I can not say I am "great" at doing this. But, one I like doing this post, and secondly I am doing better than I thought, so why should I stop now? The answer is: I am not going to! I have five games this week ...

Another interview with "The Pulse of the South" —
The 5th Corner
As the game between visiting Boston College (5-1, 2-1 in the ACC) and North Carolina (5-1, 1-2 in the ACC) comes closer and closer I found my source for a good interview "The Pulse of the South" , and asked him some questions about the game between the two ACC teams. Since I couldn't get him ...
Power ranking for the ACC —
The 5th Corner
I finally got all the people that have helped me out a lot on this blog to give me a minute and do a power ranking for the Atlantic Coast Conference. We have said that we are going to do this for the rest of the season (so let's hope for the best). Here is how it worked, there were five ...
Head coaches of the ACC coming together for a great cause —
The 5th Corner
As I read around ESPN's ACC Blog I find this small, and non sport related thread that I think is worth mentioning. From what Heather Dinich reports is that eleven (out of the 12) head coaches will be wearing a "Coach to Cure MD" patch on the sideline in an effort by the American Football Coaches ...
What has the expansion of the ACC really meant? —
The 5th Corner
Having looking around at the Atlantic Coast Conference I wanted to see how things are doing since the addition of the three newest teams. How are Miami, Boston College and Virginia Tech doing in the conference? Well, from what I see one is doing pretty well, while two are doing extremely ...
ACC is BCS minus the C —
CollegeGameBalls: College Football at its Finest
Listen along as catchy lyrics and amateur guitar riffs let you know just how much the ACC sucks.
The establishment here definitely does not agree with this particular assessment of the ACC. The conference may not have a national title contender this year, but it is the most competitive ...
A YouTube song about the ACC —
The 5th Corner
A great blogger, who I interviewed for my other blog, John Radcliff (who runs the blog Mountainlair as well as being one of the bloggers at AOL FanHouse ) did a little blog that has a YouTube piece on the Atlantic Coast Conference and how "well" they fared last week. The title is "ACC is the ...

Questions and thoughts
1. Did anyone think Georgia Tech and Boston College would be sitting there with one loss apiece at this point in the season? Probably not.
2. Is Riley Skinner possibly the most overrated QB in the conference? Wake’s offense averaging eight points per game in ...
The Heels are favorite against the Eagles —
The 5th Corner
After the loss to Virginia, the team must re group and get ready to play their next game. In less than a week North Carolina (5-2, 0-2 in the ACC) will host Boston College (5-1, 2-1 in the ACC) at Kenan Stadium. I went looking around a bit and have found that three of the gaming sites ...
Another mediocre week in picks —
The 5th Corner
Another week has passed in the ACC and another week of picks have gone. Once again I didn't do as good as I was hoping, but I can say that for a while it looked a lot bleaker than it ended up being. Yes, I stay above .500 for the season and while that might not be the greatest of ...
ACC Football and the Quest to Avoid Tampa —
FanHouse
The ACC Championship game is being held in Tampa this year. So far by the way the teams have played, no one has exactly declared themselves as the early leader. After this Saturday, the ACC will be lucky to have one team ranked in the top-25. At least that is my guess at this point. The ACC ...
