Just a little something to spark up some discussion as we wait for the new salary cap number to come out today… and for free agency to open up tomorrow.   I just wonder sometimes, are people starting to over-rate PP a bit, since he's in everyone's recent memory? I'd have Havlicek in that starting five if it was me. Don't get me wrong, Pierce has been a great performer for that club, but Havlicek put in many great seasons for the Celts in winning years. His numbers might not have been as good as PP's overall, but he was playing on stacked rosters -- compare PP's 2007/08 numbers to Havlicek's career numbers and you get the idea. Plus, HAVLICEK STOLE THE BALL!!

  I knew PP would be the most "up for debate" guy.... but a lot of the old-time guys (especially Tommy) say Pierce might be the best pure scorer in Celtics history.  Coming from hall of famers... that's saying a lot.
