by Ryan I can't give many answers about this Sabres team's struggles. I know as a blogger I'm supposed to have an educated guess as to what can fix this team, but I'm stuck at the moment. Let the coaching staff figure out how to get Hank Tallinder to stop passing to Blake Wheeler. What I do know ...

... I can't sit here and tell you what they need to do to fix but I agree with Ryan, the answer is not in Portland. Unfortunately guys like Nathan Gerbe and Tim Kennedy are not ready to make the jump to the NHL yet (although I think they both have a bright future). Mark Mancari might be able to contribute at the NHL level but he is not going to make the difference on this team. They need to go back to playing the same hockey they were playing in the first seven games. ...

... Granted, I didn’t see the Boston game so maybe I am talking out of my ass here, but after reading the transcript of Lindy Ruff’s press conference and what the players are saying about the mistakes they have made and their “lack of focus,” I couldn’t disagree more with Ryan’s assessment that we shouldn’t bring up a player or two from the minors.
