MOOSE COMES HOME
ProFootballTalk.com — As expected, the Carolina Panthers have signed receiver Muhsin Muhammad , bringing him back to Charlotte after a three-season detour to Chicago. Though he missed an NFC title game appearance in 2005 with Carolina, he made it to the Super Bowl with the Bears in 2006. Terms of the deal are not yet known.  We’d previously heard that Muhammad was in line for a deal worth $1.5 million per year. Meanwhile, the Panthers have dumped quarterback David Carr.  He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2002 draft, and he was cut by the Texans in early 2007.
