Giambi and Moose are enough

Giambi accounted for all three runs, and Moose pitched seven innings of two run ball to keep the Yankees in the game. Just a beautiful thing to see Okajima and Papelbon blow the game, but the three runs or less counter is up to 57.
- Carl Pavano was put on waivers. Hopefully someone will give up a bag of balls. That's a fair trade.
- THT broke down Jeremy Bleich, the Yanks sandwich round draft pick. To paraphrase: they don't like him.
Brett Marshall Analysis

Alex Eisenberg of Baseball Intellect, who previously analyzed the mechanics of Gerrit Cole and Jeremy Bleich, continued his breakdown of 2006 draftees with Yankees 6th-rounder Brett Marshall. While Alex was blown away by Cole and underwhelmed by Bleich, his opinion of Marshall lies somewhere in between.
