    Hi Eric,

    Nice article -- kind of reminded me of Sporting News articles from my long ago youth.  I'll definitely get a printed copy into my Mom's hands.

    When I read that I thought, dang, you learn something new every day.  But the link shows Ole Daffy was indeed a RH pitcher.

    Ed, yeah it's supposed to say first from the National League.. that was a Merkle-esque boner on my part.  Hopefully it'll be corrected sometime soon.

    Also, could you e-mail me when you get a chance?  I was supposed to call your mother back this past week about meeting her (a friend of hers there actually grew up with Bucky) but I misplaced the number she gave.
