For the last month, Daytona 500 predictions have vacillated between Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing. Certainly, the prognosticators appeared to be on the money as Jimmie Johnson claimed his second 500 pole, Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Budweiser Shootout and the first Gatorade Duel and Denny Hamlin won the second Duel qualifying race.
