I figured it was time to buy some real estate, so I started house hunting this weekend and saw this one on the market. It may be out of my price range, but what the hell, right? My only question is why the owners are selling so soon - they only bought the place a year ago. Huh.

Reading into real estate, it appears Nylander's not long for DC
Puck Daddy —
Athletes buy houses, athletes sell houses. When Olaf Kozlig put his DC-area home for sale in May, it signaled that his time with the Washington Capitals was at an end. So Japers' Rink couldn't help but get the "jump to conclusions" mat out when they saw Capitals center Michael Nylander's Potomac, Md. home, purchased for $2,735,000 last October, listed on the market for $3,250,000. (8 bedrooms, 7 full bathrooms, 2 half-bath ... what, no bowling alley?) Of particular interest: The listing went active on July ...
Could Michael Nylander Be On The Move?
FanHouse —
... And here's something new for the mix: Our FanHouse colleague Jon "J.P." Press, with an assist from some of his readers, discovered that Nylander put his Potomac, Md. house on the market back on July 17. The discovery is just more fuel for the fire, as former goalie Olie Kolzig's departure from Washington was also presaged by a real estate listing for his home. ...

... today is all about the ticket sales. It turns out getting a Caps seat to a game is going to be harder than previous years. Even with prices going up 10% (to cover cost for gas, I guess), the Caps have been able to sign up 3800 new season ticket holders. Not too shabby. It just validates that this team seems to heading in the right direction. And whether you believe the rumors or not, the Caps' roster seems to be lining up to be an Eastern Conference power house. But we already knew that. Looks like the lines for beer and hot dogs are just getting longer. Also in other Caps' ...

Bleacher Report - NHL 8/8/2008
The Washington Capitals didn't have an offensive minded defenseman since the departure of Sergei Gonchar. This season, that all changed in the form of Mike Green. He played in all 82 games and racked up 56 points (18g, 38a).
