Here's an in-depth look at the contract that the NFL finally agreed upon with Matt Walsh, all de-lawyered and easily understandable. Everything they eventually agreed upon seems like it was the simple, common-sense agreement to be made. But I guess it wouldn't be America if it didn't take 2 months and 583 lawyers to get there.
