... But the odd-man out? Brandon Inge. Possibly the Tigers MVP of the first half of the season, and statistically and defensively deserving, the Tigers third baseman has been left out of the All-Star game. So far, anyway.
He has been named as part of the last-man-in election, along with the Angels’ Chone Figgens, the Rangers’ Ian Kinsler, the Blue Jays’ Adam Lind and the Rays’ Carlos Pena.

... Padres at first base and drive in a run to help his cause. Specialist Scott Schoeneweis would come in to do his part by baffling lefties before Jon Rauch would come into the game. Rauch would give up one run, allowing San Diego to close in on the lead before Qualls would come in to wrap the game up.

ModernTube: Pablo propaganda shows off Panda's sweet skills
Big League Stew —
The message of this fantastic video is clear: Vote for Pablo Sandoval in the NL Final Vote and all your wildest dreams will come true. And as Jeff Passan asks, why wouldn't you? The Giants third baseman has a sweet bike .328 batting average, is really good at hooking up with chicks hitting grand slams and is the only baseball player who has a mustache looks like Kung Fu Panda. (He's probably a pretty good computer-hacking nunchucker, too.) A big ...

Yeah, let's Giants fans all rally behind the 500-lb clumsy guy who can't play a lick of defense, but has seven home runs (Matt Kemp has 10, and unlike Pablo, can play centerfield). Because the rest of our lineup sucks.

... GAME. Last I heard, he had a slim lead over Ian Kinsler, which we obviously must maintain. Circumstances might be in our favor, though, because Dustin Pedroia's wife might be giving birth right around the time of the ASG, so he might not go... which might mean that Kinsler goes as the starter at second... which might mean that if Inge can just stay in first or second place in the Final Man voting...
