Injury Bunny visits Granderson this Easter

Oh no! Curtis has a broken finger! He will have to spend the first week of the regular season in the DL. The prognosis, Dombrowski said, calls for Granderson to wear a splint on the finger for about two weeks, after which he should be cleared to resume baseball activity. MLB: Granderson shelved by broken finger, will miss at least two weeks As Roto-bud, The Bernal Factor , just told me..."That’s why they put erasers on the end of my ####!” What was hoped to be a simple bruise to Curtis Granderson’s hand has turned out to be a stint on the disabled list. The Tigers’ other center field options: Freddy Guzman, Brandon Inge, ...

He suffered a “non-displaced fracture of the metacarpal at the base of his right middle finger”, possibly costing him the first two weeks of the season. This is definitely a blow to fantasy owners, but it appears to be just a minor one. Two weeks should not be seen as a big deal, so I would not move him down your draft boards if you have not yet had your draft or auction. Hopefully the fingers heals quickly and it does not plague him for the entire season. The article speculates that Brandon Inge is a possible replacement, as is Freddy ...
