TEMPE, Ariz. -- Lou Piniella has said he'd like to keep the lineup constant. But there may be a small tweak. Piniella said on Wednesday that he's considering batting Cubs outfielder Kosuke Fukudome in the leadoff spot against left-handed starters rather than hit fifth. Jay Mariotti is a goof. First he was so completely against the Cubs even pursuing Brian Roberts, a name mentioned in the Mitchell Report. Then as time worn on and the rumors continued, Mariotti claimed it would be "so Cubs" to not land him. Now today, the Cubs have kissed the National League Championship goodbye because they won't be landing Roberts, among other things.
