Evidently, playing in the World Series gets you some attention. According to this article, the last time the Rockies were even part of a Fox regional telecast was in 2004. In 2008, the Rox will head into the All-Star break fresh off an appearance on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball for the first time since the 2002 season.
I’d heard rumors about this in October, so I was glad to see something at least in the works. If the Rockies are fortunate enough to get back to the playoffs soon, maybe it will be a little easier for the average fan to go to the games without having to get a second mortgage.
