Winning four of the last five, must feel really good for the Tribe. With A big win over Halladay Friday and just an offensive explosion last night maybe this team is turning the corner. I'll most likely post a series review Tuesday but now I just wanted to get somethings down before I forget them. Paul Cousineau over at the DiaTribe has a nice mini-rant during his consistently good Lazy Sunday post on the perceived dislike of Dellucci by the Indians faithful. I for one have never really singled out Dellucci as a drag on this team. I did criticize his sub .150 spring training average and then his sore forearm injury but I praised him after his return. A few notes from the MLBiverse...
Anthony Reyes, who has been the object of much trade speculation, made his first start at AAA on Friday night. Reyes pitched 3+ scoreless innings with a strict pitch-count. The Cardinals appear to be reconverting Reyes into a starter in the hopes of increasing his value for potential trade partners.
Jim Bowden hinted that he may implement a full-fledged youth movement in the near future, noting that a number of top prospects are close to being ready. Specifically, he mentioned two outfielders which would likely mean that Bowden will seek to move Austin Kearns and/or Wily Mo Pena. Kearns is due ...
