CLEVELAND -- The Indians have long believed that if right-hander Adam Miller can stay healthy, he can help them at the big league level. The Tribe will have to keep waiting. Miller, the Tribe's top prospect at Triple-A Buffalo, is headed back to the disabled list with an open callus on the middle finger of his right pitching hand. The Cleveland Indians top prospect, Adam Miller, and the focus of many posts here at The Outsiders Look, is heading to the disabled list, according to Bisons.com. The website is not reporting a retroactive date, which leads me to believe he may be out for some time (although I have emailed some sources and hope to have an update on the extent of Miller's injury specifically). The Buffalo News is reporting that Miller has been placed on the DL due to "a broken callous on his pitching hand." The Buffalo Bison placed Cleveland's top prospect righty Adam Miller on the disabled list with a blister on the middle finger of his throwing hand. A different blister on the same finger kept Miller out for two month through spring training and the beginning of the season. Miller, the Indians' 2003 first round (supplemental) pick, spent 2005 rehabbing an elbow strain, which resurfaced in 2007. But this year, he notched a 1.88 ERA (3.54 PERA) in six starts, prompting rumblings about a call-up to Cleveland . Indians head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff promised further updates on Tuesday .
