The headline certainly caught my eye. Gary Sheffield has had three cortisone shots - two in his right shoulder, one in his left - over the past few days in the hopes that he can be back in the lineup soon, but that seems unlikely when you consider that he's been dealing with pain in his surgically repaired right shoulder even when doing something as simple as crossing his arms. Team doctors have told him that there is no structural damage in either shoulder, so the hope is that the shots will allow him to simply get back into the lineup.
