MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins utilized some pink power en route to their 9-8 victory over the Red Sox on Sunday evening. In an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer, eight of the nine Twins in the starting lineup Sunday used pink bats at the plate, as did many other players around the league. The results with the pink bats were good, so good in fact many of the players might want to ... [link]

Monday (90 percent mental) edition: Wha’ Happened?
Published 5/12/2008 by Michael Rand at Randball
As we might have mentioned before, we are a tad superstitious when it comes to sports. Much of it is related to fan-dom, but it can also be traced back to our baseball playing days and a certain pair of “lucky” underwear. When our team won the North Dakota championship as 12 year olds, earning the right to travel to beautiful Parsons, Kan., for the regional tournament, you can best believe who had his lucky underwear on while pitching the critical Game 3 of the three-game final series. I Am Really Sick of East Coast Teams/Fans

Why are there so many fans of the Red Sox and Yankees that have no connection to the team? I am sick of these people. After watching the game on Saturday I noticed that there were more in Minnesota than I expected. Next time I hear a "Lets go Red Sox" chant in an away park, I may call in a bomb threat.
