Mets Merized Online — According to Mets.com, and Mets beat writer, Marty Noble, the New York Mets are set to put Oliver Perez in the bullpen before he makes his next start of the season, which will now be on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies.  Perez, who is coming off another great outing against the cross-town rival NY Yankees, will pitch against the St. Louis Cardinals on either Wednesday or Thursday from out of the  bullpen.  After coming out of the bullpen for one of those games, he will be moved back into the rotation so that the 2 lefties, Perez, and Johan Santana, could be separated in the rotation.  Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen has decided to insert ...

Hot Foot — Marty Noble on Mets.com reports that Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen has altered the sequence of the Mets’ rotation by separating his two left-handed starters, Perez and Johan Santana. John Maine will start after Santana and before Perez. Perez is scheduled to pitch in relief on Wednesday or Thursday in St. Louis and will not start again until Sunday in Philadelphia.
