The Official Site of The New York Yankees: News: Yanks win arbitration case with Wang

Yankees Win Arbitration Case with Chien-Ming Wang
Published 2/16/2008 by Nick Smith at Baseball's Savior
The Yankees will save $600k this season after they came out on top in their arbitration case with Chien-Ming Wang.  The back to back 19 game winner will make a cool, even $4 million and he’ll be one of the guys who gets it done in the middle of a rotation that could go just about anywhere in 2008.  King George is getting his due.  Legends Field, the home of the Yankees spring training facility in Tampa, FL, is being renamed George M. Steinbrenner Field .   He brought the gold back to the Yankees and while we’ve had a short drought here, I’m guessing he’ll pick up his seventh World Series title pretty darn soon (i.e. 2008).
