The Official Site of The Toronto Blue Jays: News: Tallet earns spot in Blue Jays' bullpen
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The makeup of the Blue Jays' bullpen remains one of the only murky areas within the projected Opening Day roster. As the spring winds down, though, Toronto is inching closer to deciding which seven relievers will head north with the club. On Wednesday, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons narrowed down the race for the few vacant spots by one, declaring left-hander Brian Tallet ... [link]

Tallet Employable!
Published 3/21/2008 by halejon at The Mockingbird
In a rare showing of loyalty, the Blue Jays have decided that unlike last season Brian Tallet is a lock for a bullpen spot. That in says something about Toronto’s relief corps: left handed relievers with with sub-4 ERA’s two years running usually don’t have to be told that. In fact, there are a lot of relatively large contracts being handed out to guys with not that much ...

The Headline About The Beej Being Back Is Back... Again
Published 3/22/2008 by Stoeten at Drunk Jays Fans
I'm not sure how many more times were going to let ourselves get away with using riffs that cheap-ass headline, but I figure it's got at least a few more uses left in it before I really start to feel like a fucking hack. So, yeah. I'll use it again. This time it's in reference to the fact that, a day after missing his scheduled game appearance and prompting the panicky idiot types in the fan-base to stop losing their shit about the hitters not hitting yet for a few minutes to bemoan the Jays' medical staff for this latest setback, the Beej apparently felt good enough to throw, so he put in a thirty-pitch bullpen session. Yay! Say Goodbye to Sally ...

Spring Training Live - Observations & Musings From My Time At Yankees Camp

On Thursday I had the opportunity to visit Knology Field, the Spring home of the Blue Jays. I arrived at the park around 10 AM. During this time the Jays were taking BP. Once I realized how large Frank Thomas really was I was in Awe. The next thing I did was try to locate my arch nemesis Scott Rolen. I watched the infield take grounders and saw the third basemen struggling so I knew it was him....

Blue Jays To Extend Rios
According to FOXSports.com, the Blue Jays and Alex Rios are closing in on a six year extension worth about 65 million dollars. The deal, which will begin in 2009, will cover his first four years of free agency.
