The Rarest of NBA Treats: a Game Protest is Granted Links5
It's the first time it has happened since David Stern took over the league. I thought I might live my entire life without seeing it happen. But it has happened. You know how teams sometimes file protests after some official mistake or other hurts them in a game? It's a cute little formality. Until today. The League has agreed with the protesting team, and as a result, the Miami Heat will ... [link]

... Stern, in an extremely rare move, is calling for a do-over. Keep your pants on, Suns/Magic fans. There will be no replaying ye great screwjob or the Magic Disappearing Bucket from earlier this season. Nope, the Heat are getting a do-over. I gotta hand it to the guy. It's almost like he's grabbing his nuts in everyone's face. "What, you think it's unfair? No. Deez is unfair. Deez what? Deez Commissioner Nutz. Get me a sandwhich, fanboy."

... Including that infamous Trent Tucker play, only 3 protests have ever been upheld in NBA history, including when the Atlanta scorekeepers incorrectly fouled Shaquille O'Neal out of a game earlier this season, and way back in 1969, in something known as ...

Wow. Bad call

... . And of course earlier this season the NBA office upheld Miami's protest where they argued that Shaq had been fouled out of the final moment of a game by mistake and even re-played the final moments of the game for the first time in forever. 3. On that basis alone the league should reverse this decision, if the video evidence is conclusive enough. If they can be sure the clock started before Ford caught the ball, it should go down as a Raptors win. 4. That said, Ford can also wear goat horns for getting the Raptors in this mess in the first place. He might as well have ...
