No matter what the final score actually turned out to be , UCLA won. The Bruins came back and Texas A&M wilted under the pressure. Donald Sloan, the Aggies leading scorer had the ball and was driving to tie the game and sent it to overtime. The ...Enough Whining Over UCLA Non-Calls

That seems to be the theme around college hoops lately — UCLA and all the great calls they’ve received from officials. Sure, I admitted they benefited against Stanford and Cal down the stretch, but people are now bringing up the Texas ...UCLA-Texas A&M Score Changed

Many people were a bit puzzled that the final dunk at the end of last night's UCLA-Texas A&M game counted. The final score was listed as 53-49 even though the dunk clearly came after the buzzer. If you don't know about it, go to the 1:31 mark ...UCLA Claims All Ball

Aggies fans endured a difficult loss to UCLA Saturday in a game that was plagued by inconsistent officiating that took away any flow or tempo from the contest. The only time there was any sense of rhythm on the court was when either the UCLA or Texas A&M; dancers performed during timeouts. Here are the Aggie girls in action:Texas A&M Leads UCLA at Halftime

For the first time in this year's NCAA Tournament, a No. 1 seed is in trouble. It's halftime in Anaheim, and UCLA, the 1 seed in the West region, trails 9 seed Texas A&M 29-26. UCLA has gotten a big game from Darren Collison , who has 14 points and is 4-for-4 from the field, with all four shots coming from beyond the arc. Kevin Love has eight points and five rebounds. I'm still not over this image (found on Rush the Court via Deadspin ) from Saturday night's UCLA-Texas A&M game. The last thing that should surprise anyone is a final second call going UCLA's way, but now it's getting out of hand. We may have to classify a bruin as a member of the felid family, as they're currently working on their fourth life. I'm always in favor of letting ...NCAA Officiating Has Been Interesting So Far

College basketball officiating is always interesting and this weekend was no exception with technical fouls being given out like passes for a free chicken sandwich at Chick-Fila and of course this fine no-call at the end of the UCLA-Texas A&M on Saturday night. Now, I agree the UCLA is an excellent defensive team and yes this kid still needs to make the FTs at which point UCLA ...2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament: UCLA 53 Texas A&M 49

It just came down to Love and Collison at the end making plays. After the much-needed breather from the thrilling overtime win of Stanford over Marquette, the West Regional was ready to be played between #1 UCLA Bruins and #9 Texas A&M Aggies. Before the Madness (as opposed to simply Madness) began, I laid out my reasons why UCLA was set up well to make a deep run in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Even though the UCLA/Texas A&M game didn't come down to a final shot, it very easily could have. This was a game where every basket seemed critical, because every one came so infrequently. In the end though, UCLA gutted out a game that for all intents and purposes they should have lost. Texas A&M had them on the ropes all game, but couldn't knock them out. In Saturday’s game against #9 Texas A&M, #1 UCLA played poorly - quote the opposite of when they destroyed Mississippi State; fortunately for the Bruins, Kevin Love saved the day for them. No. 1 seed UCLA managed to survive a tough onslaught from No. 9 Texas A&M tonight in Anaheim, holding on to win 53-49 in by far the toughest challenge a 1 seed has had so far in this year's NCAA Tournament.
