... Looking around the NHL, there’s a little bitterness going on out there. First of all, Aaron Ward mouthed off a bit about The Hockey New’s prediction that his current team, the Boston Bruins, will end up in last place in the East. His exact quote was “There’s a reason why (those writers) are not putting skates on”. Ward has never been shy about talking to the press, but that quote didn’t set well with THN reporter Adam Proteau who had this response. “Hey Aaron – there’s also a reason why the Bruins finished with the second-worst defense in the NHL last year. And with no alterations to your defense corps, there’s a perfectly understandable reason why pundits aren’t expecting the world from you and your teammates this season.” Ouch!
