There will never be another player quite like Big Shot Rob - NBA
Robert Horry Ronald Martinez/Getty Images Robert Horry has seven rings. He's hit big shot after big shot. But is he a future Hall of Famer? "A man has to be what he is, Joey. Can't break the mold." -- Alan Ladd as the title character in "Shane" OK, then, what is Robert Horry ? The longer he plays, the harder it is to answer that question. Is he the guy who hits all the clutch shots? Is he a ... [link]

No Freakin’ Way
Published 5/28/2008 by BigMck at RedsArmy.com: The Voice Of Celtics Fans
J.A. Adande makes an asburd case for Robert Horry making the Hall of Fame. Just know this: The NBA hasn’t seen a winner like Horry in three decades. John Havlicek retired in 1978, the last member of the Boston Celtics‘ 1960s dynasty to check out, and one of only six players in NBA history with ...

What? Um, no. NO.

I can't resist posting about this... yesterday ESPN.com "senior writer" J.A. Adande, who's probably a perfectly nice gentleman in real life, put up one of the stupidest articles I've read since we started writing this site, which is truly saying something considering that Peter May was at the Globe until only a few weeks ago. Adande opens his article with a quote from the movie Shane, and well, it somehow manages to go much farther downhill from there. According to Adande, Horry belongs in the Hall of Fame because he has made some big ...

Remember the last time I tried to write something about the NBA Hall of Fame? Of course you don't, and I'm thankful for that fact. It was a disaster of Hindenbergesque proportions, specifically because I revealed the fact that I didn't know there is just one all-encompassing HOF for basketball (rather than an NBA one, an NCAA one, a Harlem Globetrotters one, etc.). You'd think that after that I would have learned my lesson to not write about this subject. And, as the cliche goes, you would have thought wrong. J.A. Adande, step up to the dummy podium. There Will Never Be Another Player Quite Like Big Shot ...

Robert Horry and the Hall of Fame
Published 5/29/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (Chip's Moody Blues) at Uwe Blog
Robert Horry should be elected to the Big Shot Hall of Fame Non-Dallas sports related but it's an issue that must be addressed with a sound mind. ESPN recently posted some ridiculous column about the Hall of Fame credentials for Robert Horry, current San Antonio Spur. Why is he even in the talks for the Hall of ...
