The Atlanta Thrashers have hired John Anderson as their new head coach, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Anderson, 51, has spent the past 11 seasons as coach of the Chicago Wolves, the Thrashers' American Hockey League affiliate since 2001.

John Anderson became the 4th head coach in Atlanta Thrashers history when he was promoted by the club on Friday.
