The price isn't set so high as to disqualify the Tigers initially, and he is the kind of power-arm, projectable body pitcher than the Tigers executives seem to go ga-ga over. So it's only natural they do their due diligence and look into the player more before making a final decision.
Ultimately, I don't think he's going to end up a Tiger. But it should be interesting to follow the progress in the meantime.
