The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has acquired right-handed pitcher Chris Lambert from the St. Louis Cardinals as the player to be named later to complete the trade on June 22 in which left-handed pitcher Mike Maroth was sent to the Cardinals. Lambert will be assigned to Triple-A Toledo.

sportsnetwork.com 8/30/2007 — The Detroit Tigers have optioned pitcher Andrew Miller to Single-A Lakeland and filled the roster spot by recalling pitcher Virgil Vasquez from Triple-A Toledo.
Miller started Wednesday's game against Kansas City and didn't make it out of the first inning. The Royals tagged him for five runs on five hits and two walks in just two-thirds of an inning on the way to a 5-0 victory.
