Tigers option Miller; recall Vasquez
The Detroit Tigers have optioned pitcher Andrew Miller to Single-A Lakeland and filled the roster spot by recalling pitcher Virgil Vasquez from Triple-A Toledo. Miller started Wednesday's game against Kansas City and didn't make it out of the first inning. The Royals tagged him for five runs on five hits and two walks in just two-thirds of an inning on the way to a 5-0 victory.
