Tim Wakefield Flies With The Blue Angels Links2
Back on February 1st, I passed along news that Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield was going to fly with the famed Blue Angels. Well today, NESN showed what it was like for Wake as he took his flight. Now I’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed they didn’t show more of the flight like the video I put up in the Feb. 1st post. But hey who am I to complain. Shaky Wakey hits the wild blue yonder

Sox & Dawgs has a great find this weekend in which we learn something really weird: Tim Wakefield, master of the flutterball, says "Schnikeys!" way, way too much. OK, maybe that's overkill. But I did hear it come out of Wakefield's mouth at least twice in this video, in which Wakefield's recent trip aboard one of the Blue Angels is chronicled. Roll the tape: Many people who fly with the Blue Angels black out at some point, lose their lunch, etc. Wakefield? It's just "Schnikeys!" and a big grin. Nerves of steel, ladies and gentlemen. Nerves of steel.
