This year's "Battle for the Governor's Cup" between Louisville and Kentucky will take place on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Filling the Labor Day evening time slot that both U of L and ESPN favored, but which UK opposed will be Tennessee and UCLA. Well, at least this makes for solid tailgating.

... great run in the NCAA tournament, losing in the final 8 to probably the best team in the tournament in a virtual home game for which they have every reason to be proud. Maybe it's still the fact that they missed a bowl in Football this year when they were expected to contend for the championship. Who knows? Well, now Louisville fans have something more to fume about. UK got it's way in the Governor's Cup game, and it will be played on Sunday, not Monday as Louisville wanted.
