Time to Bang on Time Warner Links0
It appears that Roger Goodell has taken a major step towards resolving the tremendous differences between his NFL Network, and Time Warner Cable. Time Warner has refused to allow it’s viewers to see the NFL Network based on the amount of money the NFL Network is wanting in return. (isn’t it always about money?) [link]

The NFL Will Die Off

What a crock! I've complained about the NFL Network before and my opinion isn't any better now. The Big Ten network falls into that same category as the NFL Network. A bunch of rich teams and colleges fighting over big money with a bunch of rich ...

Winds Change Suddenly For The NFL Network
Letter From Congress threatens NFL in dispute With cable operators. The NFL Network has been playing hardball with cable operators Comcast and Time Warner for months, demanding the carriers pick up the network at the rate of 70 cents per subscriber. The network, which offers football programming 24/7/365, seemed to have leveraged the situation to their advantage perfectly, until the dreaded ...
Is there a compromise between the NFL Network and Time Warner?
There might be a compromise between the NFL Network and Time Warner . Let me say that again. There might be a compromise between the NFL Network and Time Warner . And the benefits to all of us, might be quick. Like sometime next week quick. National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday offered a new proposal to Time Warner Cable in an effort to break the logjam over the ...
NFL.com is better than nothing for NFL Network games
Speaking of the NFL Network vs. Big Cable saga, about which I wrote an obnoxious item late in today's newspaper column . . . For those of you interested in the Cowboys-Panthers tilt Saturday night who do not get the NFL Network, the free "look-ins" on NFL.com are a much-better-than-nothing alternative. You'll have to put up with a couple of NFL Net ads and some idle studio chatter, but ...
The NFL or Big Cable? How About Door #3?
I live in New Jersey, five minutes from Manhattan, and I don't have the NFL Network. Just 15 minutes away, in the same county , I have friends with the 24-hour goodness. This bothers me. But what bothers me more is the ongoing debate between the NFL and assorted cable. I don't want to hear about it anymore. I don't want to hear about this , or this , or this , and I certainly don't want to ...

Congress threatens NFL's antitrust exemption
I thought this was something interesting worth throwing out there, particularly if you don't have the NFL Network.  Apparently there's not enough to keep Congress busy, so they're threatening the NFL's antitrust exemption over this NFL Network/cable dispute . Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., expressed concern that many fans in their home states will not be able ...
Getting out the big guns
With the big names that are testifying, you'd think this bill is being heard by our national Congress, not the Wisconsin State Senate. "The heads of the Big Ten Network and the NFL Network are scheduled to be in Madison on Thursday to testify in favor of a bill that would establish an arbitration system to settle disputes between the sports networks and cable companies," reports Don Walker ...
