... Okay, not everybody is drawing the distinction, just Texans owner Bob McNair, but it's still a tad early to be having this conversation, isn't it? "I think there are a lot of similarities," McNair said. "Our people felt that he can be another Julius Peppers. I think (Williams) has a chance of being an outstanding player, and that's what we hope for."In terms of rookie-season stats, Peppers played in 12 games had 35 tackles, 12 sacks, four passes defended, and a pick. Williams saw action in all 16 games, had 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks, three passes defended and bupkes in the way of interceptions. I wouldn't say these two guys had rookie seasons that mirrored each other. ...
