Cardinals GM John Mozeliak on Spezio's arrest: "To have this warrant put out there, it completely changes the landscape of what we're dealing with." Warrant, arrest, charges vs. conviction. Granted, Spezio has additional, more serious charges of hit and run, aggravated assault, assault and battery, stemming from an incident at a friend's house immediately following the initial crash. ...

La Russa said he had decided to plead guilty to the misdemeanor because it was in the best interest of all concerned.
