Tony Parker out, now what for the Spurs?
Published 1/30/2008 by kellex at le basketbawl: The NBA Basketball Blog
Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs has found himself some bone spurs! He's a Spur with spurs...OK bad joke. His left heal seems to be the issue and was initially not a major worry for Parker and his team, but things have changed. Does this mean the Spurs are in on the Damon Stoudamire sweepstakes now? My guess is going to be "YES!" Stoudamire has gone through a contractual buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies and is expected to be courted by several teams, now including the Spurs. Boston showed as an early ...

... Up Next: The Suns take on the Tony Parker-less Spurs at home on Thursday. I can't begin to describe what a bummer this is. I was really looking forward to seeing both teams at full strength. Grrrr... ...

... -Tony Parker has been sent back to San Antonio to heal a bone spur in his heel. No word yet on how long he’ll be out, but Jacque Vaughn will be replacing him in the starting lineup. While Vaughn is not a fantasy option, fellow guard Michael Finley may see a boost in minutes and fantasy value. ...

... for the welcome party. RT : Get out of here with that shit. He might be coming off the books but he's still Kwame Brown. Michael Jordan ripped that poor kid's heart and soul right out of him. Describing his psyche as fragile is putting it kindly. I don't want him on my roster. JK : How about the Spurs? It looks like they're going to need a point guard. Parker is out with a labia spur or some shit . RT : It doesn't work money or talent wise. They have three players, all of which are untouchable. The other guys play their roles and play them well. I don't want role players, I ...
Early Game Day Open Thread: Phoenix Suns vs. San Antonio Spurs

... I'm throwing up the game day thread a little early this time for those that are chomping at the bit to start the discussion. It's either a good time or a bad time for the Suns to be meeting the Spurs. On one hand, the Spurs aren't exactly setting the world on fire lately, having gone 7-8 in the month of January. They are also without starting point guard Tony Parker, and are coming off of their ...

Manu Ginobili and the Pointer Sisters

Stop it. Tony Parker is not out with a Spur in his heel . What's next? A.I. felled by a bad chicken Nugget? Steve Nash develops a Sun spot? LeBron limps with a cramp in his Cav? (ok, maybe that's one's stretching it). I don't believe for one minute that Tony had surgery. He's at home comforting Eva over her movie reviews . The less the merrier, but we still lost . Is it possible to cheat at basketball? I wanted so badly for Manu to be caught cheating. Smoke and mirrors? Maybe he had this guy in his pocket (stumbled on at ...
