The On Deck Circle Really???-
RedBaron It seems like they're going for historically bad franchises ... but I still don't see how you leave those clowns at MSG off the list.

Much has been made of Marvin Harrison's gun. Why , exactly? Somehow, the Twins made the list of the top 10 worst franchises because of their "moneyball" practices. Then that should mean the A's are #1, right? The Pens-Flyers series is about to get underway, and The Pensblog completely exhausted themselves over it. Labels: Links of the Day
FoxSports.com: Twins 7th-worst franchise in sports
Published 5/8/2008 by Michael Rand at Randball
Though cyberspace is essentially infinite, we still doubt we have enough space to properly rebut the nonsense we are about to share with you. Joe C., with the help of a reader, passed along a list from FoxSports.com of the 10 worst sports franchises. It’s a predictable and lazy attempt to grab some eyes, as most top 10 lists are. Obligatory victory icons: AND [Recap] Well done. Another solid win today, and it's good to beat the teams you should beat. We're a better team than the Giants, but would anyone be shocked if they beat us a few times? Maybe not. We're 13-2 against the Giants in our last 15 contests with them. --- Paul Maholm ...

Sometimes we at FJM Headquarters receive so many emails about one particular article that we have no choice but to put aside our busy work as mild-mannered pension plan monitors and such and just like lay out the article for all to see. Such is the case with this pointless list ...

This Fox Sports list of the 10 Worst Franchises in Pro Sports has been making the rounds today. No surprise, *YOUR* battling Bucs were rated #1. Yes, the worst team in any of the major professional sports leagues. Congrats on that.
Next time a Pirates exec is standing at a podium telling us all how things are looking up, remember this list. I know it's their job to put on a happy face and all, but it's not fooling anyone. Just fix it and quit bullshitting us, mmmkay?
