... bullpen blows another one as the Cards fall to 3rd place, and yet that is not the night’s worst news. Colby Rasmus hurt his MCL on a check swing in his first at bat tonight and had to leave the game. This comes per Colby’s dad. He could be lost for the season, and that is definitely a huge downer with just a little over week before the Olympics start. Hopefully it’s not as bad as initially feared, we’ll just have to wait and see.

... Tim Dierkes suggests the Pirates aren't opposed to moving Jack Wilson, so at least he's on the block. I'm thinking that the Pirates might be interested in a Skip Schumaker/Anthony Reyes/Mike Parisi package for Marte and Wilson. You sacrifice very little of the future for some win-now fixes, and the Pirates get pitching and a young, cost-controlled hitter. Thoughts?
