A report out of Tampa says the Vikings have offered Jared Allen a six-year deal worth between $50 and $60 million with $25 million in guarantees. This is less than what everyone expected the Vikes would have to cough up to sign Allen, who is believed to be looking for something in the neighborhood of what Dwight Freeney got - 6 years, $72 million, $30 million guaranteed. The report also says that Allen is currently back in California mulling the Vikings’ offer. There’s no word on whether Allen will still visit the Buccaneers this week as originally reported.
